Dr. Beverly Yates is a diabetes expert, MIT-trained engineer, published author, and creator of The Yates Protocol.

After beginning her career in engineering, Dr. Yates made a change she describes as going from problem-solving with things to problem-solving with people.

She became a Naturopathic Doctor and has spent more than 30 years helping people better understand complex health concerns.

Today, much of her work focuses on diabetes and blood sugar—helping people connect the dots between their numbers and the nutrition, meal timing, movement, sleep, stress, and other factors that influence them throughout the day.

On the Reverse Diabetes Podcast, she brings that same curiosity to every conversation, asking the questions that help turn complicated health information into something listeners can actually understand and use.

Dr. Yates’ background includes more than 30 years in naturopathic medicine, an MIT engineering education, published books, extensive media experience, and leadership in naturopathic medical education.
