Better Blood Sugar Starts With a Better Plan.

Dr. Beverly Yates helps people with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes understand their numbers, lower their A1C, and know what to do next.

Lower Your A1C. Understand Your Blood Sugar. Take Back Control of Your Health.

If your blood sugar keeps climbing, your A1C isn’t where you want it to be, or you’re exhausted from trying to figure out what you should eat, when you should eat, and what you’re doing wrong—you deserve more than another list of restrictions.

You deserve to understand what your body is telling you.

Dr. Beverly Yates, ND helps people with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes understand the patterns behind their blood sugar and make practical changes that support better numbers, more energy, and greater confidence in their health.

As a diabetes expert, MIT-trained engineer, Naturopathic Doctor, published author, and creator of The Yates Protocol, Dr. Yates brings more than 30 years of experience to one of the most important questions you may be asking:

What can I actually do to change this?

Discover The Yates Protocol

There Is More to Your Blood Sugar Than What You Eat.

You may have been told to lose weight.
Stop eating carbs.
Exercise more.
Take another medication.

But if you’ve followed advice like this and still find yourself staring at blood sugar numbers you don’t understand, wondering why your A1C isn’t improving, you already know the problem is more complicated than a single food or habit.

Dr. Beverly Yates created The Yates Protocol to help you understand the bigger picture.

Her five-step approach looks at the areas that can influence your blood sugar every day:

Nutrition. Meal Timing. Exercise and Strength Training. Sleep. Stress.

In her book, The Yates Protocol: 5 Simple Steps to Fix Your Blood Sugar and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes, Dr. Yates shows you how these pieces work together—and how to begin making changes without building your entire life around diabetes.

Because improving your blood sugar shouldn’t mean spending every day afraid of food, afraid of your glucose meter or CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor), or worried about what the next A1C test will show.

It should help you feel more informed, more capable, and more in control.

Your Numbers Matter. So Does the Life You Want to Get Back To.

A better A1C is important. But for many people, improving blood sugar is about much more than a lab result. It’s about:

Meet Dr. Beverly Yates, ND

From Solving Problems With Technology to Solving Problems With People

Long before Dr. Beverly Yates became known for her work in diabetes, she was an engineer. She earned her electrical engineering degree from MIT and began her career working in Silicon Valley. But eventually, she realized she wanted to apply her problem-solving mind somewhere else.

She describes the transition simply: She went from problem-solving with things to problem-solving with people.

Dr. Yates became a Naturopathic Doctor and has spent more than 30 years helping people better understand their health. Over time, more and more patients came to her struggling with insulin resistance, rising blood sugar, and diabetes.

At the same time, diabetes became deeply personal. After reconnecting with her biological father’s side of the family, Dr. Yates discovered an extraordinary prevalence of diabetes and genetic risk among her own relatives. This wasn’t simply something she saw in charts and lab reports anymore. It was affecting people she loved.

Today, helping people master their blood sugar is at the center of her work.
Her mission is ambitious: Help 3 Million People Reverse Type 2 Diabetes and Prediabetes. Through her programs, book, teaching, speaking, media work, and online education, Dr. Yates wants more people to understand that a diagnosis does not have to mean surrendering control of their future.
